Combining quick cardio sessions between strength movements keeps the heart pumping while still developing muscle and strength. The best thing about this type of training is that they are easily modified to challenge anyone. And let's not forget the core. This is why I love working out on the TRX. "All Core All the Time". Because you are always maintaining a plank position your core is on "fire". Functional movements can also improve balance through increased body awareness and control.
